There are more women-only travel companies than ever, which is great, and also confusing. Keep scrolling: this page opens up as you go, and so does the industry.
Here's an industry secret nobody puts on their homepage. A lot of group travel brands are marketing companies. They sell you the trip, then hand you to a local operator who runs the exact same itinerary for three other brands that same month. Different logo on the welcome sign, same guide, same bus, same trip. It's arbitrage with good Instagram.
We are not that. We create the experience ourselves, from the ground up, and we have for a decade. The people who run your week work with us, train with us, and grew up with our trips: from the kitchen to the surf lineup to the leaders walking you to your first wave.
Everything is vertical. We built it. What you get here does not exist anywhere else, at any price, under any logo. Nobody does it like us, because nobody else can.
Want the specifics: the chef, the coaches, the home base, the leaders? It's all on the Nicaragua trip page.
Most group tours are built on movement: new city, new hostel, 6am bus. Ours is built on depth: one beachfront villa base all week, so the friendships compound instead of the packing cubes.
Daily surf lessons, beach workouts, jungle gym, sunset yoga. Every session coached and scaled. If your workout history is "walked to brunch," you'll be fine. If you teach fitness for a living, you'll still get pushed.
Group chat three weeks out, leaders whose whole job is mixing the group, shared dinners, boat day, theme nights. It's the machine SurfYogaBeer has tuned since 2014, and it's why "strangers to family" shows up in reviews like a chorus.
At $1,950 for 6 days, almost everything is in: lodging, most meals by a private chef, all activities, open bar at the villas, a massage, and a photographer all week. Comparable tours often list a similar sticker price, then sell the surf lesson, the boat day and most dinners as extras. Read the inclusion lists side by side; it's where girls-trip math goes to die.
Not a party bus, not a silent retreat. Sweat in the morning, ocean all day, toast at sunset. Yoga on a deck over the Pacific: yes. Promises to realign your energy: no. One meaningful sunset cry is plenty spiritual, and we're pro-cry.
| Style | Typical age | Pace | What's usually included | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SurfYogaBabe (active + social) | 25 to 44 | One home base, full days, zero repacking | Nearly everything: villa, chef, surf lessons, workouts, yoga, boat day, open bar, massage, photographer | Solo women who want adventure AND a built-in crew |
| Backpacker-style tours (e.g. Gals Who Travel by TruTravels) | 18 to 35 | Multi-city, hostels and hotels, long travel days | Rooms + transport; many activities and meals extra | Early-20s travelers maximizing countries per dollar |
| Boutique culture trips (e.g. El Camino, Wild Terrains) | 30s to 50s | City-hopping, design hotels, curated tastings | Hotels, guides, some meals; fitness rarely a focus | Women prioritizing food, design and culture over sweat |
| Wellness retreats | Varies | Slow: schedules built around stillness | Lodging, yoga, plant-based meals; alcohol often banned | Recharging quietly. Beautiful, but a different sport |
| Host-led trips (e.g. TrovaTrip creators) | Follows the host | Depends entirely on the influencer hosting | Varies by trip | Fans of a specific creator |
