About SurfYogaBabe | The Women-Only Branch of SurfYogaBeer
about us, minus the corporate bio

We didn't license a girls trip. We grew one.

SurfYogaBabe is the women-only branch of SurfYogaBeer, the original active and social travel company out of New York City. Same family, same standard. All girls.

the origin story

It started with strangers in New York

In 2014, a SoulCycle instructor named Mantas Zvinas started dragging groups of New Yorkers on adventures with one rule: show up a stranger, leave a friend. That became SurfYogaBeer: surf for adventure, yoga for perspective, beer for not taking any of it too seriously.

A decade later the formula has a 5.0 star Google rating, alumni all over the world, and one phrase that shows up in reviews so often it's basically a chorus: "strangers to family."

The women on those trips kept telling us the same thing: "I want this exact week, but just us girls." So we built it.

SurfYogaBabe is that week. Same standard, same soul, zero men. Not a spinoff sold to an operator. A branch of the family tree.

the thing we care about most

Leaders first. Everything else follows.

Ask any SurfYogaBeer alum what made their trip and they will name a leader before they name a beach. That's not an accident. It's the whole system:

one

Trained, not hired.

SYB leaders come up through the SYB Academy, training on location at our home bases before they ever lead a trip. They learn the villas, the coaches, the chef's kitchen, the tides and the group psychology, on the same beaches you'll be standing on.

two

Hosts, coaches and hype women.

A leader's job is equal parts logistics and love: run the schedule, read the room, mix the group, cheer your first wave louder than you do. Guests call them out by name in reviews more than any villa, boat or sunset.

three

Women leading women.

SurfYogaBabe trips are led entirely by female SYB leaders, like Holly, Meag and Bri in Nicaragua. Same Academy training, same standard, and a week where every single person on the trip is a woman.

what we're about

The stuff we actually believe

01

Balance is the whole point

Sweat in the morning, ocean all day, toast at sunset. Active and social, never one at the expense of the other.

02

Show up solo, leave with a squad

Most of our travelers book alone. The trip is engineered so that stops mattering by the first dinner.

03

Effort over fitness

It's about showing up, not being the fittest person there. Everything is coached, everything scales, nobody gets left behind.

04

Feel all of it

Big laughs, bigger sunsets, and yes, sometimes we cry at golden hour. That's not a detour from the trip. That's the trip.

05

If we can't build it right, we don't run it

New destinations drop when our people, our partners and our standard are in place. That's why the trip list is short and the reviews are not.

the mothership

Powered by SurfYogaBeer

Everything we run stands on ten+ years of SurfYogaBeer trips: surf weeks, ski weeks, safaris, sails, and a community that keeps coming back (about 1 in 4 travelers are repeats). Curious how we stack up against everyone else? We wrote the honest comparison.

Want the co-ed version, or a different destination? The mothership has a full calendar at surfyogabeer.com.
